The Allied Health Association is an association of beauty and health
professionals dedicated to the success and growth of its members since 1991. Our
members include electrologists, permanent cosmetic technicians, cosmetologists,
nail technicians, estheticians, nurses, beauty colleges, and other schools
related to the health and beauty industry. We offer our members training
programs, services, supplies, seminars, national certification, quarterly
newsletters, professional malpractice insurance,
worker's compensation insurance, and support.
The Allied Health Association is continually investigating and evaluating new
products, supplies, machines and techniques that are introduced to the
profession and is discretionary in choosing what to present to its members.
Recently, The Association has added insurance coverage for hyperbaric oxygen therapy,
and Lasers, for the benefit of its members since these procedures are
healthy for the body and skin, safe to use, and profitable for the
technician.
Another high-tech program The Association offers is Bio-Electric Rejuvenation.
The bio-electric lift is a comprehensive program of techniques used in advanced
physiotherapeutics and adapted for esthetics. Muscles and connective tissues of
the face, chin and neck are strengthened and tightened so the elasticity of
skin tissue is dramatically improved. The New Image bioelectric unit uses a
variety of frequencies to stimulate cells and re-educate muscles. The equipment
uses universal frequencies to tone muscles, reduce fluid retention, and soften
wrinkles.
The Quantum Electo Ionization equipment offered by Allied Health
reduces and blends fine lines, reduces open pores, improves non-inflammatory
acne scars, blends scars and other imperfections, and eliminates white and black heads.
Another major benefit for our members is Professional Insurance. Permanent
cosmetics insurance is available and can be financed. Skin care, electrolysis,
cosmetology, laser hair removal and nail services are also covered while
camouflage procedures can be covered for an additional charge. The insurance,
which includes: $1,000,000 Premises Liability - $1,000,000 Product Liability,
$50,000 Fire Legal Liability coverage, and a $2,000,000 general aggregate, is
underwritten by Axis Insurance Company, rated by A.M. Best as an A Superior
insurance company.
Our members can also take advantage of Electrolysis and Softap permanent
cosmetic training at our school. Students learn not only to be excellent
electrologists and estheticians, but also about the industry itself, and how to
set up and operate a successful practice. Once trained, the technician is able
to immediately begin a career or add a profession to an already existing
business. Electrolysis programs include a concentrated course (120 hours) as
well as standard 300 - 600 hour courses. The training offered by the
Association is nationally accredited.
Permanent cosmetic training is a comprehensive 5-day course which uses Soft Tap;
a new method of micropigmentation with almost no trauma to the existing tissue,
no fading and few touch ups.
Many technicians and members become certified to improve themselves and their
profession or simply to advertise their credential to their clients or
potential clients. The three national tests offered by the Association are the
Professional Certified Electrologist (PCE), the Certified Permanent Cosmetic
Technician (CPCT), and the Certified Laser Professional (CLP).
